The last command which Jesus gave us before he went back into heaven was the great commission: "All power in heaven and
earth has been given to me, so go and make followers of all people in the world.
Baptise them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Teach them to obey everything i have taught you, and I will be with you always, even until
the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18b - 20 [Youth Bible])
Mission is not something which you have to go to africa to do,
mission is telling your friends, housemates, classmates, lecturers and anyone else you come in to contact with about life with Jesus @ the centre. But mission is
also not just about telling people, it is also about living the life that Jesus called us to live! The Christian union runs to equip people in their lifes with
God and also to equip them to share that life with others. Our goals in life are these, to know christ and to make him known, and it is this making him known
which we call mission.
